Will Ganga gets justice after elections results?

I can not think anything else about Ganga
except that I am in love with her unconditionally.As Varanasi is witnessing historical elections
today and people of this constituency are casting their votes, I can only find
Ganga to feel the truth as soul does not know any physical barrier of distance
and time. Ganga is flowing
unconditionally, blessing everyone without any discrimination. Despite all this, it is painful to see that Ganga
is left in a much neglected state. She is
seriously injured and bleeding profoundly. As I touch the water to express my
affection and begins the conversation the first thing Ganga utter is “There is
nothing for granted here. Neither me nor anything else in the world. People
have forgotten to respect, love, and care and protect environment”.
“She witnessed much promises made by the BJP,
AAP and Congress leaders and much crowd during elections as never before.
Leaders made promises to make me pollution free. Much political heat generated
in Varanasi of UP because of BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi, AAP Arvind
Kejriwal are contesting from here and campaigned heavily. Rahul Gandi too came
here to campaign for Congress candidate Ajay Rai” Ganga said while reminding me
that the results of these elections which is virtually like Mahabharata fight will be historical, but things for her will change when there is overall change in
the system in the country.
While narrating her tale of woes Ganga said it
requires revolution in the country to change the system so that people can feel
that rivers and all natural resources are very important for them and to protect
these and make clean, safer is their outmost responsibility as they care for their
beloved once. You cannot disassociate from rivers and natural resources. You
have to love and feel the rivers and water as river loves you all
unconditionally.
“System is paralysed. Corruption has damaged everything
badly there is no counting of scams … Sharada Chit Fund scam, 2G Spectrum Scam, Coalgate Scam, CWG Scam, Helicopter Scam and so many others. In his book “Revolution 2020” Chetan Bhagat, has also highlighted the Ganga treatment scam
in its own way while narrating the story of love, struggle and corruption. There are so many scams related to Ganga clean projects
also. Hundreds of crores has been spend and what has happened so far? Ganga questioned.
To much aghast Ganga said that the pollution is
continue to be released into Gang in various places and unscientific and
illegal mining still continue in different places. Corruption is now in the
blood, neurons and DNA of many people and it will require serious approach to
change the system, Ganga said while revealing painful experience that while
people enjoy here Aarti, mystical music and all serenity, but now she cannot
feel the same anymore.
While seems to be much perturbed and disturbed
with state and central government insensitive and lackluster attitude Ganga
rued that Swami Nigamananda of Matri Sadan undertook a
fast unto death demanding an end to illegal sand mining in the Ganga in 2011,
at least in Haridwar but both the Uttarakhand government and at the Centre government had paid no attention. As a result, swami died after fasting for 115
days.
All sudden I noticed tears rolled down her
eyes, before I can hug or console her, Ganga revealed more horror reality adding that she is
dying slowly and cannot breath properly. She cannot flow naturally. She cannot
feel naturally. She has been raped continuously by mining mafia for digging out
sand and stone for so many years. She is bleeding profoundly and no one is here
to cure her wound. “People come here to get rid of their sins and also for
blessing and pursuit for truth and she wish that every visitor here at least
took pledge to save river and natural resources for betterment of humanity.
After this Ganga raised question that does
she would get justice after Lok Sabha elections results, as she sometime feel like
anti-Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act crusader
Irom Sharmila Chanu of Imphal who has been fighting to get justice for around
13 and half years. Demanding repeal of
the military Act, Sharmila has been on a fast since November, 2000 and is
currently being forced-fed in the security ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute
of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), in Imphal.
At last Ganga said nature is
supreme and no one would be spare who has caused damage to it and will cause.
In Uttarakhand, no one cared for environment protection and everyone know what
had happened there. Floods
in Uttarakhand had caused massive destruction and even God abode “Kedarnath Temple”
is not spared.
“It’s better that Human will understand to
respect and lover the rivers and environment. Otherwise nature is powerful enough
to make the system clean in its own way as it did in Uttarakhand” Ganga finally
advised and left. I could not say anything as I too believe that nature is
supreme and has enough power to make the system clean.
